Google Reader Tips

I should just stream lifehacker on this page somewhere. They have too many good tips. In this case, here are some tips to make your Google Reader experience better.

Trash Powered Electricity Generator

Scientists at Purdue are working on a portable refinery that converts food and other trash to fuel, which in turn powers an electric generator. Their current model is about the size of a van. It would be interesting to be able to run a house off trash, and possibly even sell some power back to the grid. Now they need to work on a portable version that you could take camping. That would be serious coolness. (HT: Slashdot)

Fortunately, you can try it out from within windows to see if it will meet your needs. The nice people at Lifehack.org have created a tutorial to help you setup Linux in a virtual machine on your computer. (Just be sure you have enough hard drive space before you try it.)
